About Us.Pathway 2 Employment History
|
Established in 2012"While working with youth in a mental health care facility in 2012, two friends decided to start a venture to help the same population of youth to transition to independence. Eric Thompson and Shamar Finney for years have spent time preparing young and challenged youth for life. However a number of them found it difficult to hold a job and provide for their responsibilities and families.
We spent years preparing these youth but learned that being prepared in an isolated arena does not meet the challenges of being responsible in a adult world. Through lots of effort and planning, Pathway 2 Employment opened its doors to people who have been identified with disabilities and have found it difficult to navigate a pathway to independence." |
Our GoalPathway 2 Employment, (P2E) is committed to developing and providing consumer oriented services. This includes engaging consumers to get their input and empowering consumers to be actively involved in all aspects of services.
The organization accepts all individuals who fall within the eligibility criteria for Supported Employment/Work adjustment, have the desire to work, and embrace the opportunity to obtain competitive employment. P2E personnel are qualified to assist consumers with minimal to the most significant disabilities for whom competitive employment in an integrated setting would be unlikely without on-going support. |
