Vocational Coach
Pathway 2 Employment, INC a CRP (Community Rehabilitation Provider) for the NC Division of Rehabilitation Services  is authorized to provide assessments, job development and training services for persons with differing abilities in finding gainful employment. We are searching for dynamic, energetic and motivated individuals interested in empowering the persons we support in achieving the path to personal independence through career development.

Position:  Vocational Coach
 
Title of immediate Supervisor: Director of Vocational Services/Vocational Coordinator
 
REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITIONS:
 
Education- must have a minimum of a High School Diploma
 
Employment Experience- 1 year of Human Service preferred
 
Certifications- CPR, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, North Carolina Interventions
 
Trainings- Candidate must attend all trainings offered by Pathway 2 Employment.
 
If providing transportation, candidate must have a North Carolina driver’s license and a safe driving record.  Candidate must also have an acceptable level of automobile liability insurance.
 
Experience in MH/DD/SA/VR preferred
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND EMPLOYMENT DUTIES:

  • Provide assistance with choosing, acquiring, and maintaining a job for participants ages 16 and older for whom competitive employment has not been achieved and /or has been interrupted or intermittent.
  • Pre-job training/education and development activities to prepare a member to engage in meaningful work-related activities, which may include career/educational counseling, job shadowing, assistance in the use of educational resources, training in resume preparation, job interview skills, study skills and assistance in learning skills necessary for job retention.
  • Coordinate or provide Job Development and Intensive Training services
  • Market, Promote and Develop relationships with employers for consumer employment opportunities.
  • Maintain contact with VR Counselors regarding consumers progress or concerns
  • Participate in Staff meetings
  • Assist consumers with the completion of job applications, resume’s etc.
  • Coordinate interviews with potential employers and consumer
  • Meet with management staff to assess consumer’s employment progress
  • Complete Milestone Documentation and forms for review

The ability to convey information to another effectively and efficiently
